Our Story
The Heart Behind All Things Uplifting
Partners in life, partners in service, partners in the journey of healing and hope
Founders of All Things Uplifting • Spiritual Students • Life Explorers
Hello and welcome
We’re Moe and Glenda—partners in life, in service, and in this beautiful journey called All Things Uplifting.
Our paths to this moment were anything but linear.
Together, we’ve lived a thousand lifetimes in one—serving on the front-lines, walking Skid Row with open hearts, broadcasting over airwaves, standing on stages, building businesses from scratch, raising a son, weathering storms, and chasing sunsets from Morro Bay to Imperial Beach.
What’s guided us through it all is the unshakable belief that light is stronger than darkness—and that healing, growth, and miracles are available to us all.

A Life Rooted in Service and Spirit
Moe’s early journey
Moe’s journey began with six years in the U.S. Marine Corps, followed by years of hands-on work with the homeless in downtown Los Angeles while studying broadcasting.
Glenda’s early journey
Glenda’s journey was shaped through years in customer service, creative writing, and quiet but powerful moments of turning everyday work into extraordinary impact.
Our shared heart for service led us to launch a corporate gift basket business—where giving became an art—and to help establish a nonprofit for at-risk youth in Tulsa, Oklahoma, alongside community leaders.
It’s in giving that we discovered the greatest truth: When you pour love into the world, it comes back to you multiplied
⛈️ Down and Out — and Rising Higher
"We were broke, tired, and living week-to-week by the ocean… but we still believed in miracles."
When we married, standing barefoot on Venice Beach, we made a promise to each other and the ocean: we would return to California when the time was right. And we did. Full of hope, ambition, and wide-open dreams.
But life had humbling lessons waiting.
Within a year, after broken promises and unstable jobs, we found ourselves homeless with our youngest son—living week-to-week in a motel on Pacific Coast Highway, surrounded by million-dollar homes we couldn’t touch. We often joked about being "down and out in Rancho Palos Verdes," but the truth was: it was tough. There were nights filled with tears and doubt.
There were mornings we didn’t know how we’d make it another day. Still, hope never left us.
At our lowest point, with just $20 between us, we wandered into a bookstore—and found a book that changed everything: Spiritual Economics by Eric Butterworth.
It wasn’t just a book. It was a lifeline.
Within six months, we were both working dream jobs in the film industry in Los Angeles, living in Burbank, and rebuilding our lives from the inside out.

Finding Home in Service (and Ocean Breezes)

Building a life rooted in service, spirit, and a little salt air.
After years of weekend trips up and down the coast, we found our forever place—Ocean Beach, San Diego. A vibrant, imperfect, beautiful beach town that felt like home the moment we arrived.
Here, our mission deepened.
We founded two nonprofits for foster youth, served as Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) for children navigating the foster system, and became certified Strategic Interventionists through Tony Robbins’ program.
Through our life coaching practice, The Elevation Station, we helped others rediscover the truth we had come to live firsthand: You are more powerful than you know.
Every setback is a setups for something greater.

A New Chapter: All Things Uplifting
In 2016, we entered our “second retirement”—but slowing down was never part of the plan. Instead, we decided to create a space where everything we had lived, learned, and loved could come together. All Things Uplifting was born.
It’s more than a website. It’s a living, breathing reminder that miracles are happening all around us. That healing is real. That hope is real.
That everyday moments carry extraordinary magic—if we know how to see it.
Through series like Tiny Miracles Are Everywhere, The Tree of Life Within, The Heart of Healing, and The Heart of the Matter, we share the simple but profound truths that have guided our lives:
✨ Gratitude is the gateway.
✨ Setbacks are setups.
✨ A little light goes a long way.
✨ And no matter where you are on your journey—you’re never alone.
Thank You for Being Here
We are so grateful you found your way here.
May these stories, tools, and moments help uplift your spirit—and remind you of the extraordinary strength and beauty that already lives within you.
With Love and Light,
Moe & Glenda (SavvyB)
