Tiny Miracles Are Everywhere: Reader's Submissions
The Purple Glove
Submitted anonymously from Chicago, IL
I was running late for work and it was freezing.
Somewhere between the train and the office, I dropped one of my gloves.
It was already a rough morning, and that missing glove felt like the last straw.

Later that day, I came back through the same train station. There, on the railing, someone had propped up my glove neatly, as if it were waiting for me. A sticky
note on it said: “Hang in there. It’s gonna get better.”
That small note made my day. I would call that a tiny miracle, even though it was pretty big deal to me. I still don’t know who did that. But I kept the note.
The Autocorrect Serenade
Submitted anonymously from New York, NY
I'm not the most technologically savvy person. I still struggle with voice-to-text, and autocorrect is my nemesis. I was trying to send a heartfelt text message to my significant other, something romantic and spontaneous.
I typed carefully, trying to avoid any embarrassing typos. 'My dearest love,' I wrote, 'I long for your touch.'
I hit send, feeling a warm glow of satisfaction. That lasted about three seconds.
My phone buzzed with a reply: 'What the heck, that's creepy!'

I checked my sent message. Autocorrect, that mischievous gremlin, had struck again. My romantic declaration had been transformed into: 'My dearest blob, I long for your trout.'
Trout. Of all the words.
I burst out laughing, tears streaming down my face.
My significant other, thankfully, found it hilarious too. We spent the next hour exchanging autocorrect fails, turning our romantic evening into a comedy show.
It wasn't the serenade I'd planned, but it was a tiny, hilarious miracle, a reminder that sometimes, the best moments are the ones that go hilariously wrong.
What’s the smallest moment that changed your whole day?
