A Tiny Miracles Are Everywhere story.
It was my sisterâs wedding, and our dadânormally a man of few wordsâstood up to give a toast.
He tapped the glass, cleared his throat, and pulled out a folded paper⌠which immediately flew out of his hand and landed in the punch bowl.

Everyone laughed.
Including my sister, who was already tearing up.
Dad sighed, looked around, and said:
âWell⌠I guess weâre winging it. Much like marriage.â
The crowd chuckled. Then he paused.
Took a deep breath.
And said:
âHereâs what I know. Youâll forget to take out the trash. Youâll fight about weird thingsâhow to stack the dishwasher, what kind of mustard is the right mustard. But then thereâll be this quiet morning⌠where one of you brings the other coffee without asking. And in that small, simple moment, youâll remember why you chose each other.â
The room went quiet.
Even the baby at table 6 stopped fussing.
And just like that, my fatherâwho once got locked in his own garage because he âwanted to test the automatic doorââbecame the unexpected oracle of the evening.
